FLOW
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
SOME THOUGHTS
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The idea is to measure, explore the artistic flow, ie. the "flow" as a state of mind, body and spirit
attained during deep focus and artistic creation, almost as guided by external, higher forces.
This Case is naturally connected to the Case 1>FLOW, and it should be interpreted in combination.
Similarly to that one, the artistic flow is the process itself.
What does it mean to have a solution to an artistic flow? Has no universal value, in contrast to the
idea of scientific universality.
East and the West perceivals of solutions --> adapted as universal (therefore reduced) or Personal but
therefore hardly replicable. Similar to me seems here the parallel between the scientific and artistic.
They could then perhaps be viewed also from the perspective of societal structures: people of different
cultures live by these different ideas and interepret accordingly.

DESIGN OF THE EXPERIMENT
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Several people/artists/dancers are asked to enter the state of flow.
Materials on disposal: headphones, paper, pencils, musical instrument (?).
People do not have to move, they actually dont have to actively do anything, only obligation is to
document their experience, ie. which song did they put on, what was their experience, to share the
drawing or text they made.
During this 20 minutes (approx.) at least two cameras are recording the space and tracking the movement
trajectory of the dancers. Single dancer can have either one camera per body or several cameras - THIS IS
FUNDAMENTALLY DIFFERENT! --> do we map the group dynamic or the superposition of the body parts, ie. human
as a microcosm? This can also illustrate the different ideologies, ie. simplistic Brownian movement of people,
simple beings, connections of forces between them or not? - concluded as the speculation uppon the results
of the recording and decomposition.
On the other hand, there is the single body decomposed, what are the connections within?
Very interesting...
Furthermore, how would the artistic and scientific explanations and views on the flow be compared the best?
In an exhibition space --> presenting and animating the processes.
The role of the observer...
